About For Two Fitness
For Two Fitness was created by James and Marjorie, a husband and wife team. Both are fitness buffs, with Marjorie having been a fitness professional for many years, while James is an avid runner and athlete. Over the years, Marjorie had heard many women complain that the early stages of pregnancy are hard on the ego - you aren't showing enough to be clearly pregnant, but your body is certainly no longer in the tight shape it once was. When Marjorie became pregnant herself, she looked far and wide for fitness apparel meant to flatter a pregnant figure, and couldn't find anything that was both cute and high-performance. James brought the business to fruition with his wife's creative inspiration - For Two Fitness was born! This company really resonates with pregnant women who want to celebrate their bodies and maintain their healthy, mindful lifestyles.
the momAHOLIC diaries: What inspired the name?
Marjorie: Pregnancy brings to mind the familiar saying "eating for two". Our apparel celebrates all different types of healthy activities, also "for two" (and sometimes, "for three"). So, it was a natural extension to name our apparel company "For Two Fitness".
Marjorie: The new collection is made in the USA! We decided to bring our production to our local suppliers, factories, and vendors in Los Angeles, to support our local economy. Also, it gives us a more personal experience, and great quality assurance, since we can simply drop in to inspect the progress of a production. We've formed some wonderful relationships with top-tier businesses here. Additionally, we've increased the technical qualities of our fabrics, sourcing them from the same mills as other premier fitness apparel companies. Four-way stretch and moisture-wicking properties are very important to our customers. Finally, we abandoned popular clip art in favor of exclusive graphics created by our own artists.
Marjorie: We have a lot of very popular items! Our best-selling slogan is "running for two", and the racerback tank is probably the most popular style overall. All of our garments are original styles, with special attention to fit and performance. People really love our "berry" color - season after season, this one always sells out!

Marjorie: For Two Fitness is growing very rapidly. We have an expanded collection of bottoms coming up soon (capris and tights, in addition to our yoga pants). We also are putting the final touches on a great jacket. Look for new accessories, and some fun details, like color-block panels on our pants to match our tops. And of course, by popular demand, our wholesale business is really booming. You'll see For Two Fitness in your favorite maternity boutiques (and if you don't - let them know you want to!).
